Espai Souvenir is a non-profit space for artistic and cultural collaboration located in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona. Founded in 2017, it hosts exhibitions, residencies, and interdisciplinary events focused on contemporary art, with an emphasis on research, production, and the presentation of creative practices.
The project is artistically directed by Fabrizio Contarino, visual artist and researcher, whose vision drives a program centered on critical, contextualized, and interdisciplinary practices. Espai Souvenir functions as an independent platform that combines a gallery, artist studios, and an international program of artistic residencies.
Antonio Marenco coordinates Kino Barcelona, a collaborative audiovisual creation laboratory that holds periodic editions at the space. Alina Melnikova is the resident artist, developing her practice in dialogue with the environment and the dynamics of the place.
The space regularly hosts artists from various backgrounds to develop research and production projects, with access to individual studios and public presentations. Activities include exhibitions, performances, educational initiatives, and events that foster exchange between local and international cultural agents.
In addition to our cultural programming, we have three studios available for mid- to long-term stays. These spaces provide an environment for research and production, fostering dialogue and collaboration.
