Espai Souvenir residency invites artists to develop artistic production and research projects at the Souvenir artspace. Open to artists of all nationalities. We provide workspace and final open studio in our space located in the Gracia, one of the most central neighbourhoods with greater visibility and cultural life in Barcelona.
We offer dissemination in digital channels both social networks, as web page and local media to promote residence. 24h access to the gallery and total autonomy of the artist. Specific materials are not included but we can offer guidance on where to buy them in Barcelona. At all times the artist may count with the advice of the team, for example, getting materials, accommodation, etc.
During the time of the residence, the artists will participate in cultural activities with advice of the openings, talks, workshops, seminars happening in the city.
Duration of residency
We accept applications and proposals for Souvenir residency for a minimum duration of 2 weeks between July 15th and September 15th 2024
For residents attending the program for multiple months, attendance will be uninterrupted.
Disciplines
Visual Artists from all disciplines, drawing, installation, video art, sculpture, electronic, painting, performance, photography, are invited to send us an application.
Studio / Workspace
We have one 30m2 open space with two individual studios 15m2 each and another 18m2 private studio at the first floor. 24h free access.

- During the time of the residence, the artists will participate in cultural activities with advice of the openings, talks, workshops, seminars happening in the city.
- Productive and dynamic environment – Souvenir hosts up to 3 resident artists or collectives.
- Access to common areas of the Souvenir (art gallery space, patio)
- Final open studio
Fees and support
Fee depends on the studio size and the time of stay. We have a 30m2 shared space with two 15m2 studios. We accept applications and proposals for a minimum duration of 2 weeks, considering intervals from 1st to 14 th and from 15th to 30th of each month. Price starts from 400 € for 15m2 studio – 2 weeks
We can provide invitation letter to apply for grants.
Accommodation
Souvenir does not provide accommodation. However, we will be happy to help you find one.
